Center For Technical Education

Center for Technical Education (C.T.E) is the largest technical department on campus, established in the year 2012 with the motto of offering technical courses on diverse subjects which are not included extensively in the BITS Curriculum. Every course under C.T.E. is taught by experienced seniors who have a great portfolio in the respective fields and juniors avail those courses for a fee. This semester, we are offering 11 courses on avenues like Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Finance, Vehicle Design and Product Design. Registrations and demo classes begin soon after the orientation. Every course has several evaluative components and regular classes in the evening. After the three demo classes, students are supposed to make a decision and deregister if they don't find the course apt for them. Every course has a handout which describes the plan, evaluation scheme, and further details. At the end of the course, the participants are awarded certificates of participation, and the meritorious ones are given special merit certificate with their fees reimbursed.

Strictly adhering to its not-for-profit principles, C.T.E uses the registration fees for a variety of campus enhancing programs and beyond. A significant chunk goes towards project funding. Groups or individuals, with promising prospects and ideas, apply and after a comprehensive analysis by the faculty members, the best are rewarded with monetary grants for buying materials or availing services. This is our initiative to boost the technical culture on campus and not finance be the obstacle between someone's ideas a reality.

A newly adopted initiative by C.T.E. is visiting nearby schools and other institutions and offer basic technical courses to the students. We associate with technical and non-technical clubs on campus and coordinate with local schools to pursue our intention of doing something towards the society, outside the campus.
